He/She is an individual who will design, develop, and maintain databases and database applications to manage data. Database architects work independently, collaborative team environment with other IT team development team, and report dotted to the IT manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Organizes data at the macro level.
- Organizes data at the micro level, data models, for a new application.
- Provides a logical data model as a standard for the golden source and for consuming applications to inherit.
- Provides a logical data model with elements and business rules needed for the creation of data quality (DQ) rules.
- Perform Data cleanup, backup/recovery and security.
- Collaborate with IT and Dev team.
Skills required include: (*Must have skills):
- 5-7 yrs. experience with demonstrated skill on handling at least 2 products from conception to release
- A strong understanding of RDBMS* and SQL systems*, analytics platforms, Java* and Python*, ETL*, ELT*, Hadoop, Spark, Yarn, Kafka, and other tools is necessary like Workbench*
- A high level of mathematical ability.
- The ability to analyze, model and interpret data.
- Problem-solving skills.
- A methodical and logical approach.
- The ability to plan work and meet deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Working with Cloud Databases like RD*, NoSQL, Aurora, Snowflake, DWH is a plus.
